The University of Kansas' Bioscience and Technology Business Center is featured in A Public Voice for a $10 million expansion of it's main facility that's bursting at the seams after opening just three years ago.
Located on the university's west campus, the center supports both university's research interests and provides space for private industry wishing to work with KU. The center reached capacity a year ago and has had to scramble to find additional work space.
Once completed in fall 2014, the expansion will add 30,000 square feet of space to the existing 20,000-square-foot facility and will accommodate 18-24 companies at various levels of development, including startups based on KU research and other early-stage companies
